The Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour is one of the oldest and most prestigious national cycling tours in Australia, first raced in 1930.
A Punishing tour like no other
The tour showcases picturesque Tasmanian terrain with sweeping plains, epic climbs and coastal courses.
The Tour of Tasmania is a tour that challenges Australia’s most promising young riders and sets the stage for the Summer of Cycling.
2018 saw the introduction of the women’s stage race in a push to develop professional female racing within the Australian cycling community.

Men's Tour
Wed 8th - Sun 12th Nov
A five-stage race across the northern half of Tasmania, including a Prologue ITT, stage races and criterium, taking in the best Tassie cycling has to offer.

Women's Tour
Fri 10th - Sun 12th Nov
A three-stage race, consisting of a hill climb finish, Gunns Plains circuits and a Devonport criterium to test who’s the strongest of the bunch.

Participation Rides
Wed 8th & Sat 11th Nov
Prepare for punchy climbs and the opportunity to race against the clock as you follow the same route as the professionals in Launceston and Penguin/Gunns Plains.

Sat 11th Nov, Penguin
Ride along the closed-road Penguin to Ulverstone route with the choice of 8km or 17km for riders of all levels.
